THE POWER OF LOVE

We live in a world where both parents have to work so as to earn a living for their children and other family members. As a result of this, most parents hardly make any effort to spend time with their children. These children end up having a void in their hearts in the midst of material wealth and find ways to gain satisfaction
In a bid to find the love that their parents never gave them, some of these teens might be unfortunate to fall into the wrong hands. They might meet a boy or girl who deceives them into believing that having sex is a way of finding true love. These teens end up in premarital sex only to find out that the void they had before even got deeper after engaging in premarital sex.
There is no doubt that if children experience more love from their parents and family members, the rate of premarital sex and sexually transmitted infections would reduce drastically. No matter how busy you are as a parent, spend time daily to find out about the welfare of your child or children. Find out how they spent their day, don’t be shy to talk to them about the beauty of sex and God’s original plan for sex only in marriage. Tell them that the consequences of premarital sex far supersedes the few minutes of pleasure. Tell them that you love them so much amidst their failures and short comings.
If you do not want your child to go searching for love in the wrong places, love them, hug them daily and appreciate them always because love is so powerful that people will do everything to feel loved. Remember, everyone wants and needs to be loved.
